UFC on Fuel TV 7 Predictions
UFC on Fuel TV 7 is going to be hosted at Wembley Stadium in London, England on Saturday. The main card starts at 3PM ET since the event is in London, so make sure you don’t leave your bets to the last minute or you’re going to miss out on the fights.
UFC on Fuel TV 7 Best Bets
- Bet on O3.5 Rounds in Barao vs. McDonald -140 (5Dimes)
The main event pits Barao against Michael McDonald for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. This fight is one that fans want to see, as both fighters are extremely explosive in the cage with pinpoint striking and excellent cardio.
Barao is definitely more technical, but McDonald has the edge in raw power in the stand-up. Since joining the UFC McDonald is 4-0 with two of his fights ending by decision. I think the best bet with these two fighters is the O3.5 rounds (-140).
- Bet on Cyrille Diabate +203 (Pinnacle)
My favourite underdog on the main card is Diabate at +180 against Jimi Manuwa. Diabate has a 5” height edge and 5.5” reach edge over the hard hitting Manuwa. Diabate has seen big strikers in his career and I fully expect him to have a game plan for Manuwa.
Manuwa is going to come out looking for the big KO. He won his UFC debut against Kingsbury by TKO. Diabate won his L2 and that includes a submission against Griggs in his last fight. At +180 I like the price on Diabate pulling off the upset.
- Bet on Dustin Poirier +110 (Bovada)
Poirier is another main card underdog I’m betting this weekend. Cub Swanson has won his L3 all by TKO/KO, but now he comes up against Poirier who is 5-1 in the UFC with his only loss by submission at Chan Sung Jung.
Poirier has the edge in striking, as he’s more active and accurate, but he also takes a lot of damage. Poirier is good at defending the takedown and I think he’ll pick up a statement win over Swanson who has been getting hyped up lately due to his TKO/KO wins.
- Bet on Stanislav Nedkov +105 (BetDSI)
Stanislav Nedkov (12-0-1) fights Tom Watson (15-5) on the prelims this weekend. Watson lost his UFC debut to Brad Tavares and I think this is a tough fight for him. If Nedkov deals with the cut to middleweight he should win his fight against the English striker.
- Bet on Barao/Nelson/Mills/Huna Parlay +317 (4.17)
The four favourites I like to win on the main card are Barao, Nelson, Mills and Te Huna. Barao is more technical than McDonald and while I expect a close fight Barao should keep the title. Nelson was good in his UFC debut and I expect another win from him.
Mills has a tough fight against Riddle, who has been doing better, but Mills has solid striking and Riddle struggles versus strikers. I’m also adding Te Huna to the parlay because I feel he outclasses the Canadian Jimmo who relies solely on his power.
