UFC on Fuel TV 3: Sung Jung vs Poirier Betting Odds
Kamikaze Overdrive is back again with a double edition for all of your MMA prediction needs during an action packed week of MMA here at MMAbettingodds.com. On May 15, UFC on Fuel TV will be headlined by a Featherweight showdown between the ‘Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier. Jung is coming off back to back impressive victories; submitting Leonard Garcia with a rare twister submission and followed that victory with a 6 second knockout of Mark Hominick. Poirier has been on his own impressive run with 4 straight wins to start his UFC career. Arguably the winner of this match-up will get the next title shot against the winner of the recently signed Jose Aldo/ Erick Koch title fight.
Also on the card Amir Sadollah returns to action against Jorge Lopez and Donald Cerrone tries to recapture his moment against Jeremy Stephens. The main card is rounded out by an intriguing Bantamweight matchup between Canadian striker Yves Jabouin and BJJ Black belt Jeff Hougland, a Middleweight battle between veteran Jason MacDonald and Ultimate Fighter alumi Tom Lawlor, and a 205 pound clash of hard hitting Igor Pokrajac and talented pugilist Fabio Maldonado.
UFC on Fuel TV 3 Video Preview and Predictions
The prelims are highlighted by a battle between Rafael dos Anjos and Kamal Shalorus, along with appearances by Brad Tavares, TJ Grant, Jeff Curran and the always entertaining Cody McKenzie. UFC on Fuel TV takes place on a Tuesday Night so make sure to mark it down so you don’t miss out on this entertaining free night of fights.
If one major MMA event isn’t enough, Strikeforce: Barnett vs Cormier will take place only a few days later. The Main event will finally bring to conclusion the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament; Josh Barnett defeated Brett Rogers and Sergei Kharitonov to navigate his way to the finals while Daniel Cormier knocked off Jeff Monson in a non-tournament bout, took the place of Alistair Overeem and went on to defeat Antonio Silva in the semi-finals. A spot in the UFC and more importantly a shot at the UFC Heavyweight championship is potentially on the line in this bout, which should have both competitors ready to prove their worth when the opening bell rings.
Also on the card, Josh Thomson will try to clinch the finale of the three fight miniseries with Gilbert Melendez and in doing so snatch the Strikeforce Lightweight title away from El Nino. Currently tied at one win each, the winner of this fight will move closer to the top of the Lightweight Rankings and will immediately gain immediate recognition as a future contender in the UFC’s Lightweight division.
Prior to the co-main event Mike Kyle and Rafael Cavalcante will battle in out in a Light Heavyweight match-up, Nah-Shon Burrell takes on Chris Spang, veteran fighter JZ Cavalcante tries to return to form against Isaac Vallie-Flagg, Lightweights James Terry and Bobby Green lock up and Gian Villante squares off with Derrick Mehmen also in the 205 pound division.
The only thing better than one MMA event is two in a week and with the UFC and Strikeforce going off back to back there is a tonne of Mixed Martial Arts action to watch this coming week. Make sure you check out all of your MMA Prediction and Betting needs here at MMAbettingodds.com and over at Kamikazeoverdrive.net and as always enjoy the fights.
