UFC Fight Night 46 Best Bets
- Bet Conor McGregor vs. Diego Brandao O1.5 Rounds –146 (Pinnacle)
Conor McGregor (14-2) is 2-0 in the UFC, but he’s coming off an eleven-month layoff due to an ACL injury. He defeated Brimage by TKO and Holloway by decision. Diego Brandao (18-9) has posted a 4-2 UFC record and he just lost to Poirier by 1st round KO.
McGregor has a massive reach advantage and the power to knockout Brandao. However, Brandao averages 3.35 TD’s per 15M and he lands 76% of his attempts. I expect Brandao to avoid McGregor’s striking early on and therefore I feel the O1.5 is a great bet.
- Bet Nikita Krylov –102 (Sports Interaction) vs. Cody Donovan
Nikita Krylov (16-4) is now 1-2 in the UFC with all of his fights ending by stoppage. He has lost to Palelei and St. Preux. He also has a 25 second TKO win over Walt Harris. Krylov has won all of his professional fights by stoppage and is a natural finisher in the cage.
Cody Donovan (8-4) is 33 years old and looks to be close to retirement. He won his UFC debut in 2012, but has since lost two fights by knockout. His chin is suspect and Krylov is the type of fighter to push forward until he wins or gets stopped. I expect him to win.
- Bet Neil Seery –140 (Paddy Powers) vs. Phil Harris
Neil Seery (13-10) jumps right back into the cage after suffering a decision loss to Pickett in March. Phil Harris (22-11-0-2) is 1-2-0-1 in the UFC and has really struggled. Harris has solid defense, but he only lands 24% of his strikes and 50% of his takedown attempts.
Seery has to watch out for being taken down and submitted, but if he keeps the fight standing he’ll win. Seery has good power and Harris has been KO’ed five times. I thought Seery looked good on short notice in his debut, so I’m definitely on him to beat Harris.
- Bet McGregor / Nelson / Parke / Seery Parlay +218 (Paddy Powers)
McGregor will be tested, but I expect him to back up his trash talk and beat Brandao. Gunnar Nelson fights Zak Cummings in a fight between two grapplers. Nelson is easily the better grappler from what I’ve seen and he should cruise to a stoppage victory.
Norman Parke is a big favorite against Naoyuki Kotani. Kotani has fought 50 times professionally, but he has only fought twice in the UFC prior to this fight back in 2007. He lost both of those fights and Parke will win here unless he takes the fight too lightly.
