Taking a look at the rest of the card:
Chael Sonnen will attempt to reestablish himself as the top contender at 185 with a victory after more then a year away from the Octagon. Sonnen’s opponent, the former WEC Light Heavyweight champion Brian Stann is undefeated at middleweight after three bouts and looking to lay claim to his own title shot.

Joe Lauzon will attempt to spoil Melvin Guillard’s current five fight winning streak and further complicate the already clouded Lightweight title picture. Guillard’s recent success has moved him in position for a shot at the title, but he will need to focus on the task at hand against a talented fighter in Lauzon.

Featherweights Leonard Garcia and Nam Phan will meet for the second time, following a December 2010 bout which saw Garcia earn a controversial split decision. Many felt that Phan had earned the victory, including Dana White who rewarded the Ultimate Fighter Alum with his win bonus. Leonard Garcia is looking to rebound from dropping his last bout which was also a rematch following a controversial first meeting with Chan Sung Jung.

The Spike Prelims:
Will feature two bouts that could easily be feature on the main card. Jorge Santiago will attempt to improve upon is 1-3 UFC record. While talented BJJ practitioner Demian Maia will look to rebound from a close decision defeat against Mark Munoz, a loss that was preceded by a two fight winning streak.

The last WEC Lightweight Champion and vaunted striking specialist Anthony Pettis will make his second endeavor into the UFC’s octagon against veteran fighter Jeremy Stephens. The heavy handed Stephens will look to match Pettis strike for strike as this matchup has Fight of the Night written all over it.
