UFC on Fuel TV 5 Betting Odds, Preview and Predictions

UFC on Fuel TV 5 is this Saturday at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England. The fight card is packed with great fights and you can watch the fights live on Fuel TV absolutely free. The main card has six fights alone and we’re going to predict who will win each of the fights below. We’ve also posted the best odds at the time of writing this pick.

UFC on Fuel TV 5 Main Card Betting Odds & Predictions

Stipe Miocic (9-0) and Stefan Struve (24-5) will meet in the main event at UFC on Fuel TV 5. Miocic has a lot of power and he’s always busy in the stand-up game. Struve has power as well plus he’s always trying to work submissions. Miocic should win the takedown battle, but he has to be careful because Struve will counter with subs. I’m taking Struve to win as an underdog.

Dan Hardy (24-10) and Amir Sadollah (6-3) will fight in the co-main event. Hardy needed a win in his last fight and he was able to beat Ludwig. Now Hardy needs to be able to continue winning. Sadollah isn’t a fighter that impresses me either. He keeps busy with his striking generally and is accurate, but I think Hardy will be able to out strike Amir this weekend.

Yves Jabouin (18-7) has won his last 3 fights, but all were by decision. Brad Pickett (21-6) is 1-1 in the UFC after beating Page in his last fight. Pickett likes to work the takedowns, but Jabouin has great takedown defence. The striking edge goes to Jabouin due to the fact that he’s more accurate and Pickett doesn’t have good stand-up defence. This is a close fight, but I’m taking Yves.

Paul Sass (13-0) has won 12 of his fights by submission including all 3 of his fights in the UFC. Matt Wiman (14-6) is a lot more of a balanced fighter that can get it down in different situations. Wiman has never been submitted yet in his career and I don’t think Sass is going to change that. If Wiman watches out for the subs of Sass he should be able to win the striking battle. I bet Wiman.

John Hathaway (16-1) and John Macguire (18-3) will be a great fight that should be closer than the odds indicate. Hathaway will have an edge standing up, but if Macguire can take this fight to the ground enough he’ll have a chance to win. Hathaway hasn’t finished a fighter since his 1st UFC fight back in 2009 and I don’t think you should lay -250 on him. I’m on the underdog again.

Che Mills (14-5) is one of the favourites I’m betting on this weekend. Duane Ludwig (21-13) has lost his last two fights and it’s not like he has been up against that tough of competition. Mills lost to MacDonald last time out and this is a great chance for him to win a fight and get part his last loss. It won’t be pretty because Mills isn’t that great either, but I think he gets the job done.
