UFC Fight Night 69 Jedrzejczyk vs. Penne

The UFC is heading to Berlin, Germany this weekend for UFC Fight Night 69 when Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her Strawweight Title against the returning Jessica Penne. Penne was the stand out fighter in the first Women’s Ultimate fighter series and got a terrible injury that has kept her out for a long time. She returns now but this is a tough fight for anyone at that weight Joanna looks like a beast. It should be a good fight.

UFC Fight Night 69 Best Bets – Scott Jack

• Bet Joanna Jedrzejczyk by decision +200 (5 Dimes) vs. Jessica Penne

Both Jedrzejczyk (9-0) and Penne (12-2) aren’t strangers to going the distance. Penne won her promotional debut by decision over Markos, while Jedrzejczyk is 3-0 in the UFC so far – with two of her wins coming by way of decision.

Penne can make this fight interesting if she can land a few takedowns, but the Polish fighter has 80% TDD. Jedrzejczyk is a much better striker, but she doesn’t have a ton of power and Penne has never been KO’ed. Take the Polish lady by decision.

• Bet Lukasz Sajewski +150 (Unibet) vs. Nick Hein

Sajewski (13-0) is another Polish fighter I’m rolling with on this card. He’s making his debut against Hein (12-2) who has gone 1-1 since joining the UFC. Hein beat Dober in his debut, but he followed that up with a decision loss to Vick.

Hein hasn’t looked good in the UFC. His striking has been poor, plus his accuracy has been even worse. He’s only landing 39% of his strikes and 28% of his TD attempts. Sajewski has a good submission game and he’ll have enough in the tank to surprise the vet.

• Bet Noad Lahat +191 (5 Dimes) vs. Niklas Backstrom

Lahat (8-1) is getting some attention, but he’s already over 30 years old, which worries me. He 1-1 in the UFC after picking up a win over Siler last time out. Backstrom (8-1) is just 25 years old and could have a bright future if he can piece everything together.

However, Backstrom has been poor in the UFC. He’s 1-1 after losing to Wilkinson by KO. Lahat has a great wrestling base and he’ll be able to land some TD’s. If he can keep Backstrom on the mat – Lahat could easily come away with a decision victory.

• Bet Piotr Hallman +100 (Bet365) vs. Magomed Mustafaev

I can’t pass up Hallman (15-3) at even money in his home country against Mustafaev (11-1). Mustafaev is making his UFC debut, but he has been great on the Russian circuit. However, Hallman has the experience and expertise to win this fight.

Hallman is 2-2 in the UFC with two submission wins. Mustafaev has one career loss and it was by sub. Hallman will have a 6” reach advantage too in this one. He can pick apart the Russian from the outside and then close the gap for takedowns.
