UFC on Fox 3: Diaz vs Miller Betting Odds

East Rutherford New Jersey will play host to the third episode of the UFC on FOX series, headlined by New Jersey’s own Jim Miller. Miller has been at the top of the UFC’s Lightweight division for the better part of three years, but a title shot as eluded the younger of the Miller brothers. His title aspirations took a significant hit when he suffered a three round decision defeat to now champion Ben Henderson. Miller will get another opportunity to earn his title shot, but he will be opposed by the fast rising Stockton native Nate Diaz. Diaz has earned back to backs wins over Takanori Gomi and Donald Cerrone, both in impressive fashion, launching Diaz into the title picture. Neither Diaz nor Miller have had the opportunity to ever challenge for UFC gold, so you can anticipate that both men will bring their ‘A’ game for this five round main event matchup.

In the co-main event, one man is looking to get another shot at the title while his opponent is trying to move one step closer to his first UFC championship opportunity. Josh Koscheck has faced and lost twice to the current Champion George St-Pierre and if he has chance for a third meeting he has no room for error against Johny Hendricks. Hendricks was climbing the Welterweight ladder, but when he knocked out Jon Fitch in just twelve seconds he rocketed into the title conversation. If either man intends to lay claim to title contention this is a key fight in both their UFC futures and neither man can afford to take a step back.

The remaining two fights are a Heavyweight showdown between hard hitting Lavar Johnson and talented striker Pat Barry and in the Middleweight division submission assassin Rousimar Palhares meets the all around talented Alan Belcher. The preliminaries will feature a myriad of exciting matchups and at the top of the list will be a battle of former Ultimate Fighter contestants when Tony Ferguson meets Michael Johnson. Also on the undercard, John Dodson begins his UFC Flyweight career, European stars John Hathaway and Pascal Krauss clash, and former Heavyweight Karlos Vemola makes his Middleweight debut.
