It feels good to have the UFC back on this week after a lengthy hiatus.

UFC Fight Night 75 is in Japan this weekend. The prelims will be on Fox Sports 2, while the main card will be aired live on Fox Sports 1. The 6-fight main card has several solid fights, including the main event.

UFC Fight Night 75 Betting Predictions

Best Bets for UFC Fight Night 75 – Scott Jack

• Bet Josh Barnett -250 (5 Dimes) vs. Roy Nelson

I hate betting against Roy Nelson (20-11), but he has lost four of five fights. Josh Barnett (33-7) just lost to Browne, but he had two wins in a row prior to the loss. I believe Barnett will be able to handle Nelson with relative ease.

Barnett has a 6” reach edge and can keep his distance. When Nelson tries to force his way inside, Barnett can look for a takedown. Nelson only has 60% TDD. Nelson has lost a step and the bigger fighter will win here.

It may go the distance, but Barnett is the best bet.

• Bet Diego Brandao ITD -125 (5Dimes) vs. Katsunori Kikuno

Kikuno (22-7-2) hasn’t impressed in the UFC – he’s just 2-2 with two TKO/KO losses. Brandao (19-10) isn’t quite on the level of McGregor or Poirier, but he can finish most fighters in the featherweight division.

He just knocked out Hettes in the first round and I expect him to get another knockout here. Brandao is also a threat to submit his opponent, so I’m betting on Brandao ITD. He just has to ensure he doesn’t get KO’ed.

Brandao has been knocked out six times, but Kikuno has looked bad in recent fights.

• Bet O2.5 Rounds -150 (BetDSI) in Mousasi vs. Hall

Gegard Mousasi (37-5-2) is going to beat Uriah Hall (11-5), but I expect the fight to go the distance. Hall has only been stopped once – he was knocked out by Weidman in 2010 before coming to the UFC.

Hall hasn’t fought anyone on the same level as Mousasi, but this is a huge opportunity for Hall and I expect him to avoid being finished. On paper, both fighters are very similar. One edge is Hall will have a 3” reach edge.

Mousasi is too good to lose this fight, but he did need the judges in his last fight against Philippou.

• Barnett / Mousasi / Horiguchi / Mizugaki Parlay +205 (Unibet)

I expect the favorite to dominate on the main card this weekend and I’m not going to try and get crazy with my picks. I’ve already explained why I like Barnett and Mousasi to win in the main event and co-main event.

Kyoji Horiguchi (15-2) is 4-1 in the UFC after losing to Johnson last time out, but he’ll be able to bounce back with a win in his home country against Chico Camus (14-6). Camus only has two wins in his last six fights.

Takeya Mizugaki (20-9-2) will have crowd support and he’s fighting George Roop (15-11-1) in what should be an easy win. Mizugaki needs a win after losing two in a row, but one of those was against Cruz.
