UFC Fight Night 68 is on this Saturday June 6th live from the Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA and features some good fights, Derrick Lewis vs Shawn Jordan, Dustin Poirier vs Yancy Medeiros, Ben Rothwell vs Matt Mitrione and headlined of course by future hall of famer Dan Henderson vs Tim Boetsch. Both guys very similar, both guys coming off big losses, we could very well see Dan Henderson fight for the last time in the UFC this weekend but if he wins who knows.

UFC Fight Night 68 Best Bets – Scott Jack

Having no big favorites to pick and choose from isn’t ideal for parlay bettors this weekend, but there are plenty of great prices on fighters that I like to win. Here are my best bet for UFC Fight Night 68. I have placed straight bets only, but will parlay them too.

• Bet Tim Boetsch by TKO/KO +110 (5Dimes) vs. Dan Henderson

If you want to play it a bit safer – you can bet on Boetsch just to win on the money line at -190, although I believe it Boetsch does win it’ll be by TKO/KO. Henderson has lost five of six, while being stopped in three of those losses and he’s almost 45!

Henderson should just retire at this point, but he really loves fighting and the UFC. However, Boetsch can stifle any TD attempts by Henderson and Boetsch packs some power in his strikes. This won’t be a great fight by any stretch, but Boetsch will win.

• Bet Matt Mitrione -175 (5Dimes) vs. Ben Rothwell

Have you seen Ben Rothwell fight lately? His cardio has been absolutely dreadful and he can’t last more than a round these days, which isn’t good news against someone like Matt Mitrione. Mitrione is capable of going the full three rounds at full speed.

Rothwell would have to finish Mitrione in the opening round to win and that isn’t going to happen. I’m willing to risk some extra juice in order to bet on the ML, as I really don’t know if Mitrione will be able to finish Rothwell, but he’ll definitely outpoint him.

• Bet Dustin Poirier -175 (BetDSI) vs. Yancy Medeiros

I’m a fan of Dustin Poirier and I’m surprised he isn’t a bigger favorite, but Medeiros has been getting a lot of action. There are a lot of bettors that believe Medeiros is a great fighter, but I just haven’t seen it and Poirier is a step up for Medeiros.

Poirier said cutting weight when he was in the featherweight division “made him wobbly”. Poirier quieted critics with a big win over Carlos Ferreira recently and he should have little problem earning another victory against the older Medeiros.

• Bet O1.5 Rounds in Caceres vs. Rivera -175 (BetDSI)

Alex Caceres and Francisco Rivera both come into this fight on a 2-fight losing streak. Caceres has struggled with being tapped out, as he has been tapped out five times in his career, but Rivera is a power striker and has zero submission victories.

I was shocked to see the line on the over at 1.5 rounds rather than 2.5 rounds, as this fight is likely to go the distance. Caceres has never been knocked out either. Neither fighter will be able to finish and we’ll need the judges to score this fight on Saturday.
