  • Bet O3.5 Rounds –201 (Bet365) in Maia vs. Laflare

I’m playing it safe and betting on O3.5 rounds in the main event between Ryan Laflare (11-0) and Demain Maia (19-6). Since 2013, Maia is 2-2 in the UFC and all four of his fights have gone the distance, including a 5-round loss against Shields.

Laflare isn’t a finisher either, as his four UFC fights have all ended by decision. Laflare has the edge in striking, but he won’t win by TKO/KO. I’m more worried about Laflare (40% TDD) getting taken down to the mat and submitted.

  • Bet Gilbert Burns ITD –170 (5Dimes) vs. Alex Oliveira

Alex Oliveira (10-1-1-1) is making his UFC debut and going up against Gilbert Burns (9-0) is far from ideal. Burns only signed with the UFC in 2014, but he put up a 2-0 record last year with wins over Stahl by decision and Giagos by submission.

Burns has won eight of his nine career fights in the first round, which is remarkable. He’s a huge favorite to win this fight and I don’t see how Oliveira will last three rounds. Burns looked great in his last fight and now he gets to put on a show in his home country.

  • Bet Andre Fili ITD –108 (SportBet) vs. Godofredo Castro

Andre Fili only has two careers losses and he’s 1-1 so far in the UFC. He beat Arantes by decision last time out and he lost his debut against Holloway. You can’t really blame him for losing to Max. His opponent Godofredo Castro has a 3-3 record in the UFC.

Castro has won 2-fights in a row, but he was knocked out by Sicilia and Arantes prior to that in 2013. In Castro’s last 12 fights the fight has ended in the first round. He’s 2-2 in his last four fights and all ended in R1. Fili will be able to get the TKO/KO win.

  • Bet Silva – Nunes – Burns – Fili Parlay +146 (BetDSI)
  • Bet Silva – Nunes – Burns ITD – Fili ITD – Laflare O3.5 Rounds +549 (5Dimes)

I’ve got two parlays for UFC Fight Night 62. I’m playing it safe with Erick Silva, Amanda Nunes, Burns and Fili on one. Silva is going to fight Koscheck and he should easily win. Koscheck was just submitted by Ellenberger and Silva will do the exact same.

Nunes fights Baszler on the main card and should have little problem winning. She lost to Zingano, but other than that she has been solid. My second parlay pays well and if it happens to win I’ll be having a real good night, as my straight bets would all hit too.
