UFC 186 Johnson vs Horiguchi

Draft Kinks Fantasy MMAThis will be the seventh time the UFC has been in Montreal at the Bell Centre. UFC 186 has been torn apart due to various issues and now we’re stuck with a weak pay-per-view card that’s hardly worth the money. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t make money.

Best Bets for UFC 186 – Scott Jack

  • Bet Demetrious Johnson by submission +250 vs. Kyoji Horiguchi (5Dimes)

Kyoji Horiguchi (15-1) is 4-0 in the UFC, but he hasn’t fought a high level of competition and some are questioning whether or not he should be fighting Demetrious Johnson (21-2-1) – the current flyweight champion and winner of seven fights in a row.

Horiguchi likes to use his speed and fighting style to move in and out constantly to score points. However. Might Mouse is quicker in the cage and he has better takedowns. Once Johnson gets this fight to the mat he’ll eventually be able to tap out Horiguchi.

  • Bet C.B. Dollaway ML +135 (SportsInteraction) vs. Michael Bisping

This fight is close, but Michael Bisping (25-7) is out of his prime and I liked what I seen out C.B. Dollaway (15-6) in 2014. He had wins over Ferreira and Carmont before getting run over by Machida. Dollaway has a huge wrestling edge and improved striking.

Bisping has 62% TD defense and he has never been easy to takedown, but Dollaway has great wrestling and can smother a lot of his opponents. If Dollaway can land a takedown per round I believe he’ll score enough to beat Bisping by decision.

  • Bet Quinton Jackson vs. Fabio Maldonado U2.5 Rounds +120 (Bet365)

Rampage (35-11) went 3-0 with Bellator and won two fights by TKO/KO. He’s now back with the UFC and will look to show he still has a bit left in the tank. Fabio Maldonado (22-7) has some power and he’s 4-1 in the UFC in his last five fights.

Both fighters have been rocked in the past. Jackson has been KO’ed three times, while Maldonado has been KO’ed twice. I believe these two guys are going to center up in the cage and strike it out with one of them getting rocked and losing by TKO/KO.

  • Bet Patrick Cote –180 (BetDSI) vs. Joe Riggs

I’m surprised the odds on Patrick Cote (20-9) are so small against Joe Riggs (40-15-1). Riggs is a vet and he has tried to get back into the UFC, but he lost his lone fight last year by TKO after 57 seconds in round 1 against Ben Saunders.

Cote has to bounce back after a loss to Thompson and this is a great shot for the Canadian, as he’ll be fighting in his home province against an easy opponent. As long as Cote can stay on his feet he’ll be able to pick up a victory against Riggs.

I haven’t bet on any parlays yet and may not this week other than parlaying the picks above in case I hit them all. I’m not really interested in Rampage or Almeida as big favorites. One parlay I’ll do is Mighty Mouse ML and Cote ML.
